Intel Powered Lava XOLO X900 Gets Official Release Date, Pricing
At the end of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012, Intel showed off a new Android handset that was scheduled to be released in India at some point later this year. For those of you India, the Lava XOLO X900 now has an official price and release date. It is scheduled to release on April 23 for $424 USD (roughly 22,079 INR).
Now we also have exact specifications for the Android smartphone. It will pack a 4.03-inch display with a screen resolution of 1024×600. Not quite HD, but still higher then the majority of Android smartphone’s on the market. It will be powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 single-core CPU paired with 1GB of RAM. Internally it will pack 16GB of flash-based storage. Around back it will feature a 1080p capable, 8-megapixel camera complemented by a front facing 1.3-megapixel camera. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR and 3G (HSPA+). It will also feature micro-HDMI output. Unfortunately, Android version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will not ship with the device, however it will be available “shortly” afterwords.
Sound off below if you think these new Intel powered Android smartphone’s will stand a chance against their Snapdragon and Tegra packing brethren.
